Motherhood Made Me Loud, Bold, Strong—And Ready to Share My Journey

Welcome to my very first blog post!

If you had asked me a year ago whether I’d ever share my personal journey online, I would have laughed. The idea of putting myself out there was not on my radar. I’m a project manager in the tech industry, a mom, and someone who has always kept things pretty private. But then came motherhood—and with it, a shift I never saw coming. It hasn’t just changed me personally; it’s made me louder, bolder, stronger, and more motivated to share my story.

The Power of Change

Motherhood has this funny way of turning everything upside down, and in the process, it changed me completely.

Before having my child, I was focused, driven, and admittedly, a little bit guarded. I kept my work and personal life separate, and I rarely let people in on the behind-the-scenes. I thought vulnerability equaled weakness, and in the high-stakes world of project management, I wasn’t willing to take that risk. But once I became a mom, I realized how much strength comes from being open and honest about the real, messy parts of life—both at home and in my career. Juggling motherhood and project management is not just a balancing act; it’s a high-wire circus show, and I’ve realized that my journey could resonate with others in ways I hadn’t expected.

Why Share Now?

So why now, after all this time? Because motherhood hasn’t just made me louder, bolder, and stronger—it’s also given me clarity. It’s shown me the power of community, and how sharing experiences can be transformative, not just for me but for others too. I’ve come to see that the things I used to hide—my struggles, my victories, my everyday chaos—are exactly the things that have shaped me into a better project manager and a more focused leader.

From Private to Public: Embracing the Journey

This post marks the beginning of something new for me. It’s the first time I’m stepping out from behind the curtain, and honestly, it feels a little nerve-wracking. But I’m also excited. I want to talk about the real-life transformations that motherhood has triggered in me—how it’s pushed me to prioritize like never before, how it’s forced me to redefine my approach to managing teams and projects, and how it’s helped me become a more empathetic, yet fiercely efficient leader.

Motherhood Gave Me the Motivation

I never expected that becoming a mother would light a fire in me to share my story, but here I am. Motherhood has a way of stripping down the unnecessary and leaving you with the raw, real stuff. It’s made me re-evaluate what truly matters in my work and life. And that’s exactly what I’m here to talk about. If sharing my journey can help even one person feel a little less alone, or give them the push they need to embrace their own transformation, then it’s worth it. So, here we go. This is my journey of navigating motherhood and project management, and everything in between. Expect it to be loud, bold, strong—and yes, a little bit sassy too. Let’s do this together.

Couldn’t be prouder of you, Nawel! Watching you crush it as both a mom and project manager is nothing short of inspiring. I’ve seen firsthand how much stronger, bolder, and yes, sassier you’ve become since motherhood. It’s incredible how you’ve embraced all these changes and now sharing them with the world. I’m Nawel

Hey there!

I’m Nawel, a project manager who once used to keep it cool under pressure—until motherhood came along and made me louder, bolder, and somehow even more organized!

Who knew that managing a baby would be the ultimate leadership training?

By day, I’m deep in the world of tech, leading projects, coordinating teams, and getting stuff done. But 24/7, I’m a mom, figuring out the balance between deadlines, diaper duty, and everything in between.

After years of navigating the tech world and now motherhood, I’ve learned that with enough grit, grace, and a sense of humor, we moms really can do it all. And that’s what Techie Mama is all about—finding the joy and the challenge in balancing a career, family, and a little bit of me-time.

Here, I’ll be sharing tips on leadership, work-life hacks, and my own journey of juggling it all—because if we moms know one thing, it’s that we get it done!
